Our operators

Ana Redondo Moreno
Director of Marketing for Shopping Centers at Grupo Lar

In the last 10 years, the management of shopping centers has evolved far beyond being a mere physical space for commercial exchange. Day by day and year by year, at Lar España, we have internalized that the success of our shopping centers depends not only on visitor traffic but, above all, on the prosperity and satisfaction of the more than a thousand operators with whom we work closely. The commitment to these indispensable business partners has been one of our priorities since we began our journey a decade ago.

We recognize that the operators in our shopping centers are the true protagonists in consolidating a comprehensive and personalized experience for our visitors. The diversity and uniqueness of each offering contribute to and enrich the vitality of our spaces. It ensures a variety of products and services that meet the needs and desires of an increasingly diverse and demanding clientele. This commitment and collaboration have materialized over the past 10 years, earning the trust of the best and most renowned brands nationally and internationally. We have top-level retailers who have placed their trust in us. Without them, our shopping centers would not be the prime assets they are today.

Over the past decade, we have strived to provide a conducive environment for the growth of our operators. We understand that their success directly contributes to the success of our centers. To achieve this, we have carried out numerous initiatives. An example is the ‘Customer Journey Operators,’ a research program aimed at understanding the experience in detail and redefining the relationship with them. It is born with the goal of listening to them and making them feel heard, generating a constant flow of communication that translates into new solutions that provide additional value. We have also invested in the implementation of digital channels to improve communication with our operators. An example is the Mallcomm initiative, a 360º communication platform that establishes a channel between operators and the various levels of management and services in the shopping center. The aforementioned initiatives allow us to strengthen our business partners and, at the same time, enhance the offerings of our shopping centers, reinforce their dominance, and ensure their optimal functioning.

Transparency has been another of our priorities in the commitment to our operators. Over the years, we have held regular contract follow-up meetings, providing our operators with a clear view of our expectations and giving each one the opportunity to express concerns and mutually improve objectives. This transparency, multiplied during the pandemic, has created an environment of mutual trust, vital for continuous success.

Finally, it is worth mentioning Lar España’s commitment to positioning its centers as places of social interaction beyond shopping. We focus on designing events where customers can enjoy memorable experiences, acting as a lever to position ourselves in their minds as the first choice for shopping and leisure moments, resulting in increased visitor flows that directly benefit the operators.

In summary, our relationship with operators is a partnership that goes beyond a mere commercial transaction. We are committed to cultivating an environment where we all thrive, and where diversity, innovation, and responsibility are the foundations of our shared success. Our commitment to each of them reflects our vision of a future where shopping centers will continue to be the primary shopping destination, as well as dynamic spaces that enrich the lives of visitors and, in this case, those who work in them, by creating prosperous and sustainable communities.
