Seville, June 10, 2022. The Spanish Association of Shopping Centers and Parks, AECC, has awarded the 2022 prize for the best large Spanish shopping center to Lagoh, located in Seville, owned by the socimi Lar España and inaugurated on September 27, 2019.
With a surface area of one hundred thousand square metres, Lagoh is the largest shopping and family entertainment complex in Andalusia. The center attracted a total investment of 260 million euros and has more than 140 leased and operational commercial surfaces. They make up an exclusive offer of shops and reference brands, many of them unprecedented until then in Seville.
It adds an experiential and open gastronomic area, with nearly a hundred terraces around the central lake that gives its name to the complex, as well as the most avant-garde and innovative cultural, leisure and free time activities in the community. Around the lake events and night illuminations are designed so that each visit is an event and a unique experience.
Jon Armentia, Corporate Director and CFO of Lar España, has assessed that “the award represents recognition of a new model of shopping centers that is much more familiar, innovative, sustainable, resilient and dynamic in the city where it is integrated. Lagoh also recognizes the business model of Lar España, the only socimi specialized in retail that is listed on the Continuous Market, and which in its eight years of experience has made up a portfolio of 14 shopping centers and parks selected one by one, all of them leaders in dominance and sustainability and for the quality of its commercial mix”.
The Seville City Council and the Andalusian Government supported the family shopping and entertainment center project from the outset as one of the development centers for the south of the city. Lagoh has also acted as a pole of attraction for various residential and service projects in the vicinity. The management of the complex corresponds to Grupo Lar, which with its more than 50 years of experience in the market once again demonstrates the quality of its teams, performing this task exclusively in the commercial complexes of Lar España.
The Spanish Association of Shopping Centres, in which the main agents of the sector in Spain participate, has presented its annual awards during its 18th Congress, which is being held from the day before yesterday until today in Seville. The awards ceremony was held last night, and the award given to Lagoh was collected by Jon Armentia and José Manuel Llovet, CEO of Grupo Lar’s Commercial Real Estate Iberia.
